Dr. Dodson

Professional Counseling, Coaching & Consulting

I am Justin Dodson, PhD, LPC a published author, speaker, counselor educator and therapist. I am a native of Memphis, TN and I attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, where I earned my B.S. in Psychology. I went on to graduate as the first African American male to earn a Masters in Counseling from Lipscomb University. I then became the first African American male to earn a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Memphis. 

 

WHO DO I WORK WITH?

Providing Psychotherapy for Adult Men & Educating Organizations on Suicide Prevention, Employee Wellness & Brain Health

I specialize working with adult men who have some but not limited to the following presenting concerns

 

  • I work alongside professional men including athletes, healthcare providers, first responders, business owners and leaders discover their true potential; whether in  career, family, personal identity, communication, or relationship concerns. 

  • Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, fear, or other issues that hinder your ability to live your life the way that you deserve?

  • When anxiety, fear, addiction, childhood trauma and other issues inhibit your ability as a professional to perform at your best, consider discovering how to feel more like your true self.


 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Consider working with a clinician with over 11 years of experience who provides a down to earth, professionally safe space, free of judging and full of compassion and empathy. I use therapeutic assignments that align with your goals to to help direct the therapy process.

  • I expect clients to show up as you are, commit, and continue putting one foot in front of the other.
